This practical guide was developed with the aim of strengthening the capacity of M&E staff on the use of strategic information for planning and decision-making within the HIV/AIDS sphere at the regional level. The guide was developed to equip healthcare professionals and NGO staff with basic tools enabling them to effectively use strategic information reflecting the current state and the development of the epidemic, the HIV response, and resource allocation for HIV/AIDS programs. The publication may also be useful for non-governmental institutions and private entities interested in strategic information in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support for key populations. |

This training module was developed from the “Practical guide on the use of strategic information on HIV/AIDS.” It consists of three parts: 1) terms and definitions, recommendations on planning and preparing the training, and the training program; 2) detailed information and comments on each slide presentation and practical excercises; and 3) slide presentations. These materials were designed to help the faculty who conduct trainings on monitoring and evaluation and the use of strategic information on HIV/AIDS. |

This publication contains an adapted methodology in creating interactive maps with ArcGIS.com, a free online platform. The manual presents step by step instructions on interactive maps development: starting from data collection and aggregation to data visualization instruments. Publications with such interactive maps are interesting not only for public health professionals, but also for decision-makers. |

Звіт є результатом картування послуг для груп підвищеного ризику інфікування ВІЛ у Запорізькій, Полтавській та Черкаській областях станом на 2014 рік. Для кожного регіону подано аналіз ситуації щодо ВІЛ та послуг для ключових груп. Звіт може бути використано для планування заходів відповіді на епідемію та оцінки стану профілактичної діяльності, для адвокаційної діяльності, що набуває особливої актуальності під час розробки регіональних програм протидії ВІЛ-інфекції/СНІДу на наступні п’ять років. Результати картування стануть у пригоді працівникам НУО, працівникам МіО, спеціалістам, які готують або приймають рішення у сфері протидії ВІЛ-інфекції/СНІДу. |

This report contains information on the methodology of data collection; processing and aggregation; creation of a database and its adaptation to geographic information software (GIS); types of maps; summary of information presented; and limitations with map analysis. Service analysis and regional maps are provided separately for each oblast and its capital city. The only exception is Dnipropetrovsk oblast, where services are additionally presented for the city of Kryvyi Rih, which is the center of service provision for key populations. Each oblast is discussed in a separate section, presented in Ukrainian alphabetical order, with oblast-specific analysis and conclusions. A summary map is provided at the end of the report. This report can be used in planning HIV response activities, assessing prevention activities, advocacy, etc. Mapping results are useful for HIV service implementers including civil society and governmental agencies, M&E specialists, and decision-makers in the HIV/AIDS field. |
